Growth!  As we emerge from this recession, some of us battered and weary, it is time to take action to grow your business.  The CEO Retreat is where smart Virginia Council of CEOs members go to recharge, rethink and renew.  Many members have credited our Retreats with new thinking that advanced their businesses in ways they never though possible.  Take the time to connect, learn and grow with your peers at this year’s CEO Retreat.

OUR PRESENTERS

Alan Beaulieu consults with companies throughout the US, Europe, and Japan on how to forecast, plan, and increase their profits based on business cycle trend analysis.  What makes a presentation by Alan so unique is his understanding of business cycles and the ability to explain the implications to any audience.  He knows that economic changes are signaled well in advance, and he knows the signals. You’ll leave with an action plan and plenty of time to apply it before the economic shifts ahead.   His wide-ranging experience makes Alan the economist that entrepreneurs and business owners listen to.  See www.ecotrends.org.

Jack Stack led an employee buyout of a division of International Harvester in 1982. Today, the resulting company, SRC Holdings, an employee-owned company in Springfield, Mo., has grown into a collection of 37 businesses and 1,200 employees that make, among other things, race-car engines and home furnishings. He is the author, along with Bo Burlingham, of two books, The Great Game of Business and A Stake in the Outcome.  A frequent speaker at Inc. 500 events, our members have appreciated how Jack teaches by sharing experiences.

Erika Andersen has developed a reputation for creating learning and change processes and programs uniquely tailored to her clients’ challenges, goals, and culture.  Much of her recent work has focused on organizational visioning and strategy, executive coaching, and management and leadership development.  In Her Book, Being Strategic, Erika Andersen offers a clear, practical, powerful approach for navigating through tough times.  VACEOs members appreciated her session at last year’s Inc. 500 Conference as "practical" and “instantly useful.”

Jay Goltz has been the guest speaker for conferences sponsored by Inc., and featured in business magazines such as Crain's and Forbes.  Jay is well known for his ability to connect with an audience by providing solid, real life business education, motivation and plenty of take-home value.  He engages his audiences with reflections on the day-to-day realities of running a business.  Jay started his custom frame shop, Artists’ Frame Service, right out of college. It has grown from $70,000 in revenue in 1978 and is now the largest picture-framing store in the country — with more than 20 times the revenue of the average framing shop.  Jay has been featured in an Inc. magazine cover story, is the author of The Street-Smart Entrepreneur.

Your Peers are an essential part of the CEO Retreat experience.  Participants adjourn to small groups several times to discuss and share around the ideas offered by our presenters.  The relationships you will build offer a rich opportunity to connect, learn and grow.

It’s a Retreat!  So, we encourage you to spend the night(s) and immerse yourself in the peer learning and relationship building that makes this meeting different from any other conference you attend.

Hotel Reservations should be made by calling Kingsmill Resort at 757-253-1703.  Our group rate is $169 for standard rooms and $209 for suites, and the room block is being held until March 30.  Some VACEOs members choose to extend their stay and have their spouse join them for an extra night or two.  Kingsmill has extended our group rate for additional nights before and after.
